A Nigerian-indigenous pageant institution, known a African Royalty Awards has commenced nomination of potential Awardees across several award categories ahead of her forthcoming 2021 edition. The Annual award ceremony would be held at Sheraton Hotels and Towers in Abuja, the Capital City of Nigeria and would witness the presence of prominent personalities within Nigeria and across neighbouring countries.

In a recent statement by the Principal Executive and Head of the 2021 organising committee of African Royalty Awards, Duke Bassey noted that nominations was based on merit, with emphasis on their contributions towards to growth and development of African Communities.

Amongst some of the listed Nominees, even s nomination remains ongoing include, HE Gov Patrick Okowa, the Executive Governor of Delta state, Engineer Udeme R. Akpan, MD Phaenon Communication Ltd, Rt hon Alhassan Ado Doguwa, Member of the Federal House of Representatives, Chief Obi Cubana, Hon. Shina Abiola Peller, Member of the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Prince Akinremi Jagaban, Member of the Federal House of Representatives and amongst others.

Over the years, the African Royalty Awards has continued to recognize and honour Personalities, as well as Institutions that remained devoted in their earnest contributions towards the growth and development of Nigeria, the pride and giant of Africa. However, in a reaction from Mr. Bassey, the President HBFL Empire Limited, noted that the forthcoming edition which is themed "celebrating Africa Exceptionals" will be historic and amazingly entertaining.


The Founder of Face of Democracy Nigeria and renowned key player in the Nigeria entertainment industry, Mr. Fajag Ajagbonna has been appointed as the Special Assistant Entertainment Affairs to Professor Steve S. Azaiki OON, a Member of the Federal House of Representatives, representing Yenagoa/Kolokuma-Opokuma Federal Constituency in Bayelsa State.

According to StatePress Correspondent, Mr. Ajagbonna received his appointment letter few hours ago in Abuja at the office of Professor Steve S. Azaiki, who is also a member of the Appropriation and Human Rights Committee in the green chambers of the National Assembly. He was appointed as an experienced entertainment brand influencer to assist the Lawmaker keep up with entertainment affairs across the entertainment industry in Nigeria.

On receiving the appointment, the new Special Assistant Entertainment Affairs expressed appreciation to Prof. Steve for confiding in his capacity for such huge respinsibility. Ajagbonna assured the lawmaker of his excellent service delivery, of especially by fulfilling the requirements of the appointment. 

The new Special Assistant Entertainment Affairs is expected to bring his experience to bear within the entertainment where by ensuring that the influence of Prof. Steve S. Azaiki is projected across the entertainment space nationally and across boards. He was however congratulated by members of staff of the office of Prof Steve and also family members, friends and fans both within Nigeria and from across the world.


As Nigerians and especially people of the southwestern region anticipates the forthcoming 2021 Olojo Festival holding at Ile Ife in Osun State, Prince Abiodun Ishola Olatunbosun has expressed heartfelt felicitation to His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Babatunde Enitan Ogwunwusi, the Ojaja II and Ooni of Ife ahead of the festival, which will commence on the 26th of September 2021.

Speaking with our Correspondent, Prince Abiodun Ishola described the Ooni of Ife as a true Leader, whose reign has attracted several privileges to the people of Ile Ife and Osun State in general. He noted that his prayers are with the Ooni of Ife, as he undergoes the 7days spiritual seclusion preceding the forthcoming 2021 Olojo Festival.

The Olojo Festival is an annual cultural festival created to celebrate the day the Almighty created the earth. "Olojo" in Yoruba means ‘the day of the first dawn’, but in the lores of Ile-Ife. The Seclusion of Ooni of Ife is so significant, and was inherited from his ancestors thousands years ago.

Maduka has over the years supported the Christendom in different capacities as he has built both Catholic and Anglican churches, Reverend fathers and Priests houses including buying cars for the newly ordained.


With the recent challenges faced by abandoned children and under privileged women across Communities in Nigeria, a non governmental organization known as Dorian Homes for Charity and Social Development is set to unviel it's 700capacity state of the art ultra-modern facilities orphanage home in Akure, Ondo state. According to reports, the official launch of Dorian Homes will be held on the 14th of October 2021, at KM 4, Idanre Road, Akure Ondo state.

The Occasion will witness the distinguished presence of notable personalities, high profile Executives and stakeholders in the social development industry. The 5Million dollar world-class facility will be inaugurated by His Excellency, Professor Yemi Osibanjo(SAN), the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, who is also the Special Guest of Honour at the forthcoming launch of Dorian Homes.  

Other Specially invited guests includes the Executive Governor of Ondo State, HE Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akerelodu(SAN), as the Chief Host of the Launch, Rev. In an exclusive conversation with the President and Founder of Dorian Homes Dr. Tolulola Bayode, she noted that the vision of Dorian Homes is aimed at giving hope to the hopeless children, widows and less privileged persons across ondo state and Nigeria in entirety. She stated that the facility is capable of accomodating over 700children, making it the biggest Orphanage home in Nigeria. According to Dr. Tolulola, the dream is to ensure that underprivileged children gets the best, with emphasis on education and proper training so as to lead a better future for Nigeria. She however used the medium to invite potential supporters of her philanthropic mission, stressing that collaborations and partnerships is key in her vision to salvage these abandoned and underprivileged children across Nigeria.

However, top government officials have visited the facility indicating their interest to support the project, so as to ensure its fruition. The facility presently has a skill acquisition centre for women empowerment, a hall with 400 capacity, a Worship centre, an international standard children hospital, with plans for an amusement park around our site. Speaking with the Media Strategist of Dorian Homes official Launch, Ms. Elizabeth Omale, she noted that the newly built Dorian Home is a vision that will create indelible impacts in the lives of Nigerian children and widows, by creating decent shelters, empowerment opportunities and social welfare assistance to children, widows and less privileged persons across Nigeria.

The District-Governor of Rotary International District 9142, Rtn Okey Okonkwo is presently in Anambra in an official tour of Rotary Clubs in the State.

As part of his itinerary, the District-Governor was on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 welcomed by Rotarians in Awka Axis at Stanel World ultramodern facility in Awka before Club Assemblies and separate Sessions with different Clubs as well as other special activities as announced by the Assistant Governor of Zone 12, Rtn Chibueze Adirika, including courtesy calls, radio appearance and a condolence visit to Past Assistant Governor, Rtn Amaobi Adirika who lost his dear wife.

This visit to Anambra State provides the the District-Governor the opportunity to establish a one-on-one relationship with Rotarians to further instill the mission of Rotary in them which is to "provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders."

In his first Club Assembly help at Crescent Spring Hotel, the District-Governor, Rtn Okey Okonkwo had Joint Fellowship with Rotary Clubs in Zone 12 of the District, in which they committed  to "together, see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change — across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves" that being the vision of Rotary International; before holding separate Sessions with the different Clubs.

At each session with the individual clubs, they discussed 15 critical issues as contained in the Checklist for the DG’s Visit viz a vis: Club's Status; Stewardship Plans for Accountability and Transparency; Schedule of Board Meetings and regular Fellowships; Club Projects List with Budget and Timeline for Completion & Report of ongoing Projects; Club Strategic Plan, Plans and Set Goals on Membership Growth, PHFs, Paul Harris Society, Major Donors and PolioPlus; New Generation Plan – Formation of Rotaract/Interact; amongst others.

The District-Governor used the opportunity to charge every Rotarian not to relent on the task of inviting new quality members into the Rotary family while emphasizing on the importance of Rotary Clubs to the overall success story of Rotary International.

He equally commended the Rotary Club of Awka Hybrid for their unique model which allows members to virtually participate in Rotary programs while specially thanking the Club Advisor, Past Assistant Governor Emmanuel Nnagbo, Rtn Chijioke Aniagor, Rtn Caleb Okechukwu who were physically present and all members that joined via the e-platform for attending.

On his part, the Charter President of Rotary Club of Awka Hybrid, Rtn Ifeanyi ANIAGOH who called the Club Assembly to Order as the Sitting President, in welcoming the District-Governor, assured him of readiness of his Club Members to always live the Spirit of Rotary. 

On behalf of Rotary Clubs in Zone 12; Awka Central, Awka Hybrid, Awka Metropolis, Igbariam Gateway, and Oko (Provisional), Assistant Governor, Rtn Chibueze Adirika thanked the District-Governor for his historic visit and promised to diligently follow up all developments arising from the DG's visit for a more fruitful Rotary Year.

The District-Governor would go on to meet with Clubs in Zone 10 on Wednesday, September 22, 2021; and Clubs in Zone 11 on Thursday, September 23, 2021 before his scheduled departure on Friday, September 24, 2021 through Onitsha enroute Aguleri.

KHF will celebrate the World Heart Day on the 29th of September 2021 during an awareness walk and free medical checkup in Abuja tagged "Abuja Walk With Kanu".

According to reports, the forthcoming "Abuja Walk With Kanu" program will witness the participation of Nigerian Celebrities, Football Legends and notable Personalities, which includes Actress Tonto Dikeh, Cubana Chief Priest, Abbeh Abuede, Tijani Babangida, Daniel Amokachi, Emmanuel Emenike, Victor Ikpeba, Dare Art Alade and amongst others.

The "Abuja Walk With Kanu" is an event to commemorate the globally celebrated World Heart Day and will commence from the Office of the Inspector General of Police, through routes cutting across Secretariat, High Court/Abia House, Intel Junction, AP Plaza, Paniel Apartments, CAC, INEC Office and Transcorp Hilton as end point.

The Walk which is organised by Kanu Heart Foundation to ensure healthy hearts for Nigerians is been supported by various high profile institutions, development partners and key stakeholders across several sectors and industries in Nigeria. As Dr. Godwin Maduka the Accord  Candidate in the forthcoming Anambra governorship election continues to take his campaign across communities in Anambra state, the humble leader and Politician visited riverine communities in his bid to ensure that his prospective vision for every indigene of Anambra state is achieved. 

The noble humanitarian, Philanthropist and Politician made the visit with his campaign team to Nzam and Inoma community days ago using motorcycles and local flying boats. According to reports, his humble mood attracted several reactions, as many said it was a sincere demonstration of humility, stressing that a true leader is known by his ability to serve his people.

On arrival to the Riverine communities in Anambra West, Dr. Maduka and his campaign team were given a warm reception, with tubers of Yam and two huge fishes. Leaders in the community however expressed appreciation to "Okosisi Orumba" for the visit and efforts he made to visit their community, especially with the stress of coming on a motorcycle and local flying boat.

Speaking with Anambra update Correspondent, Dr. Maduka noted that his dream for Anambra state to ensure that every community receives the required intervention needed to ensure development for a better and greater Anambra State. During the visit, Dr. Maduka donated food stuff and other support to the community, as he assured them of his development plans when elected as Governor of the state in the forthcoming November 6th Governorship election in Anambra state.
