Four persons have been allegedly killed in a communal clash that erupted between Odekpe town and Alla community, both in Anambra West Local Government Area of Anambra State.
DAILY POST gathered that the clash occurred on Monday, when youths of both communities mobilized against each other over a lingering boundary dispute.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC Spokesperson in Anambra, Mr Edwin Okadigbo who confirmed the death of four indigenes of the area said the escalation of hostilities was averted by the Anambra West Divisional office.
Okadigbo, confirming the deaths said, “Preliminary investigation revealed that the two communities clashed with each other and in the process, four (4) persons allegedly lost their lives. One other was kidnapped, while most houses were burnt and property were destroyed.
“The State Command has dispatched Operatives of Peace and Conflicts Unit, Intelligence unit and other tactical squads of the Command to the area to avert further clashes, and in the maintenance of law and order.

“Commandant, David Bille has ordered a discreet investigation into the circumstances surrounding the killing.”
