Anambra State-born billionaire businessman, philanthropist and medical doctor, Godwin Maduka, has said that he will further replicate his humanitarian gestures across the cities and towns in the state when he becomes the governor of Anambra State come 2021.

In a town hall gathering in his home town, Umuchukwu, Orumba South of the state, Maduka presented his 10-point agenda, saying the bird has come home to roost.

The US based professor of medicine noted that it was time for Ndi-Anambra to feel the full impact of the democratic dispensation with a consummate developer and a philanthropist of unequal measure.
Maduka who reiterated his commitment and dedication to accelerate infrastructural developments and enhanced human capital in Anambra State pointed out that his vision to build a country in Anambra State was reflected in the way he has upgraded Umuchukwu community to a state level.

He stated: “Having touched all sectors of human interest in his philanthropic deeds that cut across health, security, infrastructural developments, education, economy and other key areas within his home town and beyond, I am presenting my 10-point agenda that will further elevate the state to an enviable country level.

“These include health, agriculture, education, tourism and infrastructure, technology and digital economy, religious tolerance, transportation, security, energy and waste management system and enviable democracy through clean politics.
“As a Harvard trained medical expert and one who established the Las Vegas Pain Institute and Medical Center in the United States, my health vision for Anambra will involve the maintenance and improvement of health via the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, recovery or cure disease, illness, injury and other physical and mental impairments”.

On education, he emphasized the need for free education and 50 percent subsidized policy of academic cost to raise the literacy level in Anambra State.

According to him, Anambra youths will be equipped with ICT skills on technology, manufacturing, robotics, artificial intelligence through establishment of Hub Centers, all in a bid to improve the technology and digital economy of the state”.
