In Anambra, the State Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, Lady Ndidi Mezue, earlier today at Ufuma Junction, Orumba, North LGA, rescued a mentally challenged woman and her two kids, a boy and a girl.

The Honorable Commissioner on receiving a distress call from a concerned citizen, swung into action and after a frantic search within Orumba North and South, the woman and her children were found at Ufuma. The Local Vigilante Group, of the town, also assisted in the search.

Following the rescue, they were tactically and carefully relocated to Awka, where they received immediate attention, tented to and subsequently resettled in a government owned facility. At the facility they will be rehabilitated and then reunited with their family and the society.
