The Commissioner for Trade and Commerce, Hon. Uchenna Okafor Wiper and the Ministry's Taskforce Team on COVID-19 yesterday, 14th May, 2020 visited Shoprite, Onitsha to enforce the compulsory wearing of face masks by staff  of the market and customers.

The Commissioner who cautioned the security officer on duty for allowing children who had no face masks entrance into the mall later stopped some individuals from shopping in the centre for not putting on their face coverings.

Moreover, Hon. Okafor warned that any supermarket that did not obey the directive as issued by the Governor, Chief Willie Obiano will be sanctioned.
