An Abuja based Non-governmental Organization in Nigeria, Shamies Unusual Foundation has been recognised at the prestigious Peace Achievers Awards held few days ago at the NAF Conference Center in Abuja. Shamies Unusual Foundation was honoured with the Award of Excellence in Humanitarian Services.

The distinguished Award was received and presented to the Executive Director of Shamies Unusual Foundation, Ms. Sara Abdul in the company of Alex Nwankwo, a multiple award winning PR Expert. Speaking with newsmen, Ms. Sara Abdul expressed appreciation the organisers of Peace Achievers Awards for spotlighting the impact activities of Shamies Unusual Foundation and recognising the organization with such an delightful award. 

Shamies Unusual Foundation was recognised alongside several renowned organizations, reputable personalities, public figures, celebrities and associations in Nigeria. Some of which includes the Justice Abubakar Malami SAN, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, H.E Engineer Abdullahi Sule, Governor, Nasarawa State. Alh Dr. Ummarun Kwabo A.A Jarman Sokoto, Hon Mas'ud musa Bashir MD Al- Mas'ud Oli & Gas, Hon. Manir Muhammad Dan'iya (Walin Sokoto), Deputy Governor Sokoto State, amongst others.

The Award occasion however witnessed the notable presence of distinguished personalities, invitees, partner organizations, media oufits and especially Abuja based Showbiz Enterpreneurs. However the Foundation had remained committed to the rehabilitation, empowerment and reintegration of ex-convicts into the society, through a wide range of advocacy, representation, trainings and support programmes.
