The traditional Ruler of Awa Community in Orumba North Local Government Area Igwe Israel Ezue says the emergence of Professor Chukwuma Soludo as the Governor elect of Anambra State will open up more development opportunities for the State.


Speaking to the ABS on the declaration of Professor Soludo as the winner of the election, Igwe Ezue maintained that the election is a strong indication that the people of Anambra State knew what they wanted.


He called on other candidates that contested with Professor Soludo in the election to join hands with the Governor elect to ensure rapid development of the state.


Igwe Ezue who lauded the developmental accomplishments of Governor Willie Obiano in Anambra State especially the construction of the Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport at Umueri expressed the hope that the Governor elect will sustain all the legacy projects of the Willie Obiano administration.


Contributing, the wife of the former Vice President of Nigeria, Mrs Ifeoma Ekwueme, who said that APGA has through its successive administration’s restored people’s confidence in Governance, said that the people of Anambra State took a wise decision in electing Professor Chukwuma Soludo as their next Governor.


The Special Assistant to Governor Willie Obiano on Community Liaison, Comrade Obi Ochije Modilim, said that the outcome of the Governorship election is the true reflection of the wish of the people.


 


He expressed optimism that the emergence of Professor Soludo will ensure continuity in all the legacy projects embarked upon by the All-Progressives Grand Alliance government in different parts of Anambra State.
