The prestigious National Peace Awards has honoured and decorated Nigeria renowned Politician and Philanthropist, Senator Rochas Okorocha, the Former Executive Governor of Imo state and current Senator representing Imo West Senatorial district at the 9th Nigerian Senate. The award was presented to Sen. Rochas at his Office hours ago in Abuja.

According to our Reporter, the President of Messengers of Peace Organization, who also doubles as the Convener of National Peace Awards Dr. Suleiman Adejo, alongside other Executive Members of the organization presented the well-deserved Award and Emblem to Senator Rochas Okorocha in his office, after he was unavoidable indisposed to attend the grand award ceremony which was held at International Conference Center Abuja on the 13th of November 2021. 

On receiving the Award, Sen. Rochas expressed appreciation to the organisation for considering him worthy of such distinguished award as he assured of his unfettered commitments towards promoting and sustaining peace across Nigeria, using his capacity, influence and affluence. Speaking with the Converner few moments after the Award presentation to the distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the National President, Dr. Suleiman Adejo told our Correspondent that the objective is to promote the campaign for peace, stressing that peace is paramount and priceless. 

Adejo therefore encouraged everyone across Nigeria to use their God given abilities and capacities to promote peace at all levels, considering the current development of things across communities in Nigeria. He however used the medium to congratulate every award recipient of the 3rd Edition of National Peace Awards as he encouraged them in the service to humanity through peace campaigns across all sectors and industries in Nigeria. 

Like the recently held 3rd edition of the prestigious National Peace Award which recorded huge representations and the presence of notable personalities across Nigeria, the award ceremony has over the years remained focus on appreciating, encouraging and motivating agents of peace across Nigeria, with a vision to improve the structure of peace especially at this very challenging times in the country.
